Discription:

The corner radius end mills are single ended tools used for making corner radii at the bottom of a milled shoulder. Corner radius end mill cutters have a stronger milling edge than square end mills, so feed rates may be increased and yield longer tool life and greater productivity. These milling bits may also be used in mold profiling applications with greater productivity than ball end mills. These mills are all solid carbide, and are available in many diameter sizes and lengths.


The carbide endmills have scallops on the outside diameter which causes the metal chips to break into smaller segments. This results in lower cutting pressures at a a given radial depth of cut. They are mainly used to rough mill the material off when large amounts of material are removed. They are made of carbide and cobalt, they are available in fine, medium and coarse pitch scallops. stub, standard, long, and extra long lengths. There are many different helix angles, and flute configurations, because of the many different materials being milled. They come in a wide variety diameter sizes from 1/8" to 3".

TiAIN

A special multilayer coating for edge retention and corrosion resistance when used on a wide range of materials including iron based, hardened steels, and stainless steels. Typically TiAIN is used in applications with lower cutting speeds than TiSiN and ALTiN but often improves the tool's lifetime by a factor of three or more.

ALTiN

A general purpose coating that offers improved wear resistance to abrasive, adhesive, or difficult to machine materials such as cast iron, aluminum alloys, steels, copper and more. This is a common used substitute when the advantages of TiAIN cannot be used, as in applications that cannot generate the speeds and feeds required for higher cutting temperatures. ALTiN is harder and more impact resistant than TiAIN and can improve tool life.

TiSiN

This is a high performance coating for milling, tapping and drilling in stainless steels, carbon steels, alloy steels, and cast iron. This coating is extremely heat resistant and can be used with or without coolant. It is exceptional in difficult to machine materials where adhesive wear is particularly high and can be run at much higher speeds and feeds than all other coatings.
