Different cuts:
Single Cut Burs provide the best surface finish and largest contact patch on the work piece. However, this demands greater operator skill since the single flute direction pulls the bur into the work piece. solid carbide burs offer a longer tool life and faster cutting speeds that other substrates
Double Cut Burs chip size is reduced and tool speed slower than normal speeds. Double Cut Burs allow for rapid stock removal and better operator control while still maintaining a good surface finish.
Aluminum cut have a coarser flute which results in improved cutting performance on non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. It is designed for rapid stock removal with minimum chip loading.
